Anne Bauche

Yoga and Wellness Teacher

Anne teaches from experience and deep understanding.  She helps students to develop a practice that promotes good health, balance, peace of mind and spirit.  She takes into account the different expectations and concerns of each student.  She believes in creating healthy and clear relationships with the students where words and actions build a safe and reliable space for everyone.

"Anne has a joyful spirit, wonderful compassion, and deep respect for others."

Anne teaches Vinyasa Yoga, also called Flow Yoga because of the smooth way that the poses run together and become like a dance.  Depending on the students, the flow maybe vigorous, or a slow softer flow, combining postures, breath and relaxation.

In Vinyasa yoga, movement is synchronized to the breath.  She instructs students in moving from one pose to the next on an inhale or an exhale, helping to connect movement and breath.  Vinyasa is literally translated from Sanskrit as meaning "connection."

Here is Anne’s advice for yoga beginners:  “it is very common for people think that they are not able to do yoga, because they cannot bend to touch their feet.  The good news is that you do not find yoga in "perfect" postures, but in how we experiment with them.  This means that generally everyone in class is giving their best effort in both their breathing and their performance, regardless of how the yoga posture looks.   It is how it feels that is important.   As long as you are breathing consciously, you are doing yoga!"

As teachers we will make sure you feel comfortable, explaining postures and movements.  We help you in learning how to hold a posture without pushing or forcing, while breathing deeply and softly through your nose all the time.  The process will help students feel more whole, as a unified body, mind and spirit.  It is important that you know you will experimenting with something new and unknown.  It can be strange at first, and that is normal.
